Check Out This Home: Montana Ski Chalet

Ever since living in Denver, I have had a love affair with mountain homes.

The rustic beams, the warm fire and the stunning views – love. love. love.

So while perusing through Architectural Digest yesterday, I came across this extravagant Montana ski chalet just outside of Yellowstone National Park. The 9,750 square-foot, seven-bedroom dwelling was designed by Los-Angeles based designer Michael S. Smith, who created a beautiful ski chalet with a modern, yet woodsy vibe.

Each room in this gorgeous home has a distinct personality – incorporating bespoke elements such as a built-in bookcases in the dining room, a pressed-tin ceiling in the kitchen and custom-made upholstered pieces in the living room.

Looks like the perfect spot to take in some awesome snow & major relaxation...

Decor Inspiration: Fireplaces

This time of year always makes me crave the warm and crackling effect of a soothing fire or wood-burning stove. The soft glow and distinct smell of a roaring fire can completely change the ambiance of any space.

Now that the cold weather has arrived, I wanted to share with you some images of beautiful fireplaces that have caught my eye as of late. Each of these fireplaces takes on their own personality and provide a focal point for the room.

Now all I need is a good book, a glass of vino and a warm blanket to snuggle up.

Tuscany On My Mind

Tuscany holds a very special place in my heart. Between the food, people and stunning countryside {not to mention the wine}, I am totally in love with Italy.

Today I wanted to share with all of you a stunning abandoned stone farmhouse from the 1700's that was renovated by Chicago designer Patrizio Fradiani. The modern, mountaintop villa features an infinity pool, exposed beams, authentic stonework and gorgeous living areas. With trails winding down the mountain and olive trees within arms reach, it is understandable why Fradiani chose to settle for retirement in this relaxing slope side retreat. The house boasts a gorgeous open-air kitchen and perfectly showcases patchwork views of the Tuscan countryside below….Truly magical.

Enjoy your weekend wonderful friends.

Home Envy: Nantucket Beach Getaway

Maybe it's because I wore sandals to Starbucks this morning or possibly because I gallivanted around in just a tank top this weekend - either way, winters gone in my brain and the feeling of spring just keeps getting stronger.

The idea of warmer weather always brings me back to one of my favorite destinations: Gorgeous Nantucket Island {off the coast of Cape Cod}. I visited this amazing retreat a couple years ago for a beautiful summer wedding and nearly fell in love. Classy. Sophisticated. Casual. Nantucket is all of the above.

I can honestly say that this wealthy islet is like no other place on earth. The decor and style of the homes are totally up my alley - shaker style cottages, long walks through the dunes leading up to the beach and rose bushes everywhere in sight. Sighhh!

The Nantucket beach house below {featured in Elle Decor} is the perfect balance of contemporary and casual beach style living. I love the mixture of gorgeous whites, luxurious fixtures and overall minimalist design. What a perfect spot to settle for your warmer months.

Happy Hump Day Friends.
