Here's To 2014!

Happy 2014 to all my clients, friends, family and followers!

2013 was my best year yet both professionally and personally.
A growing business. A new baby.  A new house.  I’m am very blessed.

I rolled in New Years with amazing friends and family whom I adore. Truthfully, I could not have asked for anything better. I cannot wait to see the challenges and triumphs that this upcoming year is going to bring me. With work getting busier and busier (and my newborn son occupying the other half of my time :)) my ability to post will be more sporadic and less consistent. Do remember though, to tune in to my Weekly Deals and check out my new posts on fashion inspiration and styling tips.  Though they will be posted less often, I will undoubtably still be sharing my passion through this blog as often as I can!

I look forward to a bustling and fun 2014, full of fashion, friends and fun times – what could be better than that!

Spring Trends In Any Price Range

Now that the warmer weather has FINALLY hit Toronto, we can now break out some of our favourite spring trends. Whether you’re looking for a cheap, yet cheerful find from one of my favourite retailers ZARA or splurging on a Rag & Bone piece, good options can come in various price ranges. Below are three important items that need to make their way in to your closet for the current hot weather.

Amp up your relaxing beach day with a bold bikini. The options featured below show that a cool swimsuit can come in any price range.

Blazers like those seen below are the perfect pieces to add to your wardrobe. This winter staple can get a warm weather makeover thanks to a light summery shade and unstructured silhouette.

Patterned pants like the pairs below are perfect for breezy spring days. Plus they can transition well from office to evening. Throw on a blazer for work appropriate wear or add a silk blouse for happy hour cocktails.

Casual Ensemble: Olive Blazer & Biker Boots

Wanting to keep it casual and comfortable, I wore this outfit while walking around my Yorkville neighbourhood this weekend. A couple weeks ago, I found this great cropped olive ZARA jacket and I couldn’t resist purchasing it. Perfect to add to a casual weekend look, this blazer is comfortable yet still adds some style with it’s two-tone colour and unique lines. I paired my blazer with my favourite Rag & Bone Floppy Hat & my go-to ZARA biker boots for a relaxed ensemble.

Happy Thursday Friends!

3 Ways: Lace Top

I absolutely adore my Joie lace top. It goes with everything in my wardrobe and is extremely versatile. The beautiful lace detailing gives off a girly, feminine vibe and provides a softness to any of my ensembles.

Below are my 3 favorite ways to style this classic shirt. Pair it with a leather pant and standout shoes for a girls night outfit. For work appropriate wear, tuck the shirt in to a pencil skirt and add minimal accessories. And for weekend wear; pair with a gorgeous flat and messenger bag for a casual yet classic get-up!

Grab that gorgeous lace top out of your closet and give this trend a try!

Colour Crush: Cobalt Blue

Cobalt blue is without a doubt my go-to colour when it comes to clothing and accessories. The hue is rich, deep and versatile, complementing most skin-tones and hair colors.

The high-impact blue can brighten up your boring winter ensembles and last you right in to the summer months.

Make a bold statement in cobalt blue today. Whether it is a strong cobalt dress, adding a blue cocktail ring to your jewelry box or incorporating a ground-skimming maxi to your spring wardrobe, cobalt blue is where it’s at.

How I Style: Distressed Boyfriend Jeans

I love my distressed boyfriend jeans.

They are comfy, stylish and have a laid back vibe that totally suits my style aesthetic. The nice things about this type of denim is that you can both dress it up or dress it down, depending on how you are feeling and the look you are going for.

For casual wear, I tend to match them with an oversized knit or casual tee and a basic flat. For a night out on the town, I love pairing them with a bootie and blazer combination or a standout pump.

Here I have taken my favourite pair of ZARA Distressed Boyfriend jeans and styled them in various ways {while mixing high and low items - my favourite way to shop}. Whether you are going for a casual everyday look or something a little dressier, boyfriend jeans can totally get you there.
