There is
nothing in this word quite as lovely as a nursery. The excitement of preparing
the space and then inevitably providing a home for your new addition... it just warms
your heart.
This
summer I had the pleasure of designing a nursery for our little baby-to-be. In
typical Lesley fashion, I stuck with grey & white neutrals and added accents
of vintage burlap and light blue. Chevron sheets paired with a basic grey
and cream striped rug gave the simple, yet classic feel that I was looking for. I have
always had a mild obsession with the colour grey, so I used this as the key tone for the space. Also, not knowing the sex of our little one,
this colour just seemed like the perfect fit. My idea for the room was to
create a calming, dreamy space…infused with vintage finds, sweet little
animals, and handmade details. I stuck with a very soft color palate and kept
the overall design very minimalistic.
If you
are looking for some nursery inspiration or if you are just in to neutral based
rooms -- here are some great pics to spark your interest.
Soft,
calm and oh so perfect for a new arrival.
