The Style Hunter Diaries: Wax On!

There is no doubt that last fall, leather bottoms reigned supreme.

We saw this trend everywhere from the runway to everyday street style. Sadly however, leather does come with a hefty price tag. Yes, these beauties are going to cost you… a lot! So brilliantly, designers came up with a great way for consumers to enjoy the look of leather, without sacrificing a month’s rent – enter the waxed denim! This pant has the look of leather with the stretch of regular denim (brilliant… right?!?). I’m a huge fan of this look for fall and have been regularly purchasing these for my clients, as they enter the cooler months ahead.

I have a great oxblood pair from Current/Elliott from last season and I’m still in love with them for this autumn. These puppies look good with anything from a casual denim button up to a dressy silk tank and structured blazer. If you haven’t tried this trend yet, consider getting on board. They are undeniably comfortable and will give you that sleek leather look, without causing you to break the bank.
